How to Install Hoppo (Developer Mode)
Follow these steps to install Hoppo in developer mode:
- Open Chrome Extensions Page:
- • Open Chrome and type
chrome://extensionsin the address bar - • Or go to Menu → More Tools → Extensions
- • Open Chrome and type
- Enable Developer Mode:
- • Look for the "Developer mode" toggle in the top-right corner
- • Switch it to ON
- Load the Extension:
- • Click the "Load unpacked" button that appears
- • Navigate to the Hoppo extension folder
- • Select the folder and click "Open"
- Verify Installation:
- • The extension should appear in your extensions list
- • Look for the Hoppo icon in your Chrome toolbar
- Refresh Your Tabs:
- • After installation, refresh all your existing Chrome tabs
- • This is required for Hoppo to work with existing tabs
- • New tabs opened after installation will work automatically
Important Note:
Hoppo needs a page refresh to initialize properly. After installation, either:
- Refresh each tab individually, or
- Close and reopen Chrome to refresh all tabs at once
Pro Tip:
After installation, try pressing Option + Q to start switching between tabs. The more you use it, the more natural it becomes!
Having Issues?
If you encounter any problems during installation:
- Make sure you've extracted the downloaded file if it's a zip
- Verify that Developer Mode is properly enabled
- Try refreshing the extensions page
- Restart Chrome if needed
